Finished my second generator for a client. Need to make 9 more of this one and 9 more of the smaller one from the earlier posting. Then maybe more generators in the future? Who knows. I guess this is what I’m doing now - in addition to the McMinis. I need help!!!!!

This little template I designed has made installing the Officer Big Mac bars a million billion times easier and faster.

This little template I designed has made installing the Officer Big Mac bars a million billion times easier and faster.

While I toil away at the McMinis, I was also tasked with making some miniature @Generac generators for a new client for them to use at trade shows. They provided me with really confusing blueprints of the actual pieces as well as a few photos. So I had to CAD model them with that.

This is the first generator I completed. It’s the more “simple” one of the two I’m working on, but was also a huge pain! Those vents would trap air bubbles like crazy!! I am making 10 of this model.

The next one is more elaborate and interesting. I am tweaking a few things on it now and hopefully can reveal that here before I head off to Asheville.

The worker guy was just a bonus I added. They didn’t ask for ‘em, but I thought it might be a nice reference for them to show their customers the scale of these generators.

A little setback on the Hamburger Patch. I really wanted these to be battery operated for a cleaner look - so I bought a bunch of 3V coin batteries and holders and designed the whole base around them. But as I’m assembling them, I’m noticing that some of the batteries just don’t last that long. Some do, but some don’t. I cannot determine which ones will and I don’t want people to be disappointed later on when their batteries suddenly die.

So I decided to convert all of these, instead, to a plug-in adapter. I’m pretty sure I can get the cord to fit in the existing base I designed and come out the back as unobtrusive as possible. The new plugs will be here on Friday (or sooner).

I have a large batch of burgers cast up, assembled and half way painted. So, hopefully, I can start shipping these out next week or so. Thanks everyone.

I finally worked out all the kinks in the molds for the Play-Doh boy. But now I realized that the bubble I used for the Mayor McCheese is too deep, so I will have to re-tool a new vacuum form buck for his bubble. This is one of the funnest things I got off eBay for a while now. It’s the blueprint for a Kentucky Fried Chicken sign - 1975. Complete with dimensions, colors, bulb count and even what they used to make em blink. I think I’m gonna revisit my kfc miniature sign soon and redo it to these more accurate measurements.
